'Deserving Philatelist' Award For Nic Hendy

Nic Hendy was presented with a Deserving Philatelist Award at the Christmas function at the end of last year. The award was made because Nic is one of the key reasons for the current financial and membership strengths of the Auckland Philatelic Society, through is long service in the roles of secretary (12 years) and sales (8 years) and circuit management (another 8 years). Nic has promoted our hobby through his organisation of the two-day annual Exhibition, something he has been involved in since 1990 and managed for 8 to 10 years.

Nic was also a part of the success of Aupex 1997 Exhibition in Auckland where he acted as Exhibition Secretary.

On top of his many roles Nic is also a regular speaker around the various Auckland philatelic clubs, most recently on the subject of the Battle of Trafalgar.

Nic is a life member of the APS.
